3 Best Ways To Gain Muscle

muscle mass dietA couple of things to consider, if your going to the gym, most people are either there to gain muscle or lose weight. Strangely enough the two are related when it comes to training. Here are the 3 best ways to gain muscle :

1. Eat Big / Eat Right

Gain muscle or loose weight, the two are related, you need to develop and stick to a diet or a lifestyle eating plan. I really hate the word diet, but in this case what I mean by diet is eating healthy, eating whole foods, eating often, try 6 meals a day.

So skip the hot chips, and soft drinks, and go for apples and banana’s and water, plan your daily eating times, around 4 – 6 times per day, add a meal replacement supplement as well.

Its the same with wanting to lose weight, get rid of the crap in your diet, and eat healthy. Stick to plenty of meats and vegetables, salads, just make sure your portions are smaller.

2. Lift Big / Lift Often

If you wanting to gain muscle, you need to push your muscles past failure. Start training with basic exercises, and lift heavy. I’m not talking about crap form, stick to heavy weights that you can keep good form with, while lifting to failure in the 6 – 8 rep range. Tip Make sure you have a spotter though.

It’s the same with wanting to lose weight, lift in the 10 – 15 rep range, stick to good form.

3. Sleep big / Sleep Well

The sleep well part is don’t think the four hours sleep a night is enough, or that drinking passing out and sleeping, is going to cut it. Sleep is one of the most underrated parts of gain muscle or loosing weight

You need to target 7 – 9 hours sleep, make sure your bedroom is set up to make sure that you get the best night sleep possible. This means get your TV out of the bedroom and don’t eat food in your bed.
